Having compiled Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sri Guru placed it in the newly- built Harmandir Sahib Ji (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. The first parkash (opening ceremony) was performed in the Golden Temple by Sri Guru Arjan on August 30, 1604. The Sri Guru nominated Bhai Buddha Jias the custodian of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Sahib Ji. At this time, the Sri Guru bowed before the collection..
